The multiple nanometer wavelength and frequencies catalysis the breaking of ambient oxygen and water vapor molecules into the ‘H and ‘-OH’ (hydroxyl). These short lived Hydroxyls go on their oxidation work over more complex molecules of the contaminant and the Hydroxyls themselves get used up in the process. The end result is a sequential and instantaneous gas breakdown leaving only trace amounts of by-product in the form of harmless C02, water vapor, molecular oxygen, trace ozone, elemental forms of N, S. CL and weak minerals acids.
The wave-length frequency emitted by Odorox® Hydroxyl Optic are “tuned up” to treat the gas molecules of a wide range of compounds, including ammonias, petrochemical and sulfur, such as H2S and mercaptans.
